Rochester, NY – Goodwill of the Finger Lakes announces the promotion of Joyel Bennett to the position of Vice President of Business Operations.
“I am very excited about the new opportunities this position will bring,” said Bennett.
As the Vice President of Business Operations, Bennett will continue to oversee Manufacturing and Food Services, an will add oversight of Contact Center business operations. The Contact Center business operations include federal, state, and commercial contracts, in addition to the 1-800-GOODWILL service used by Goodwills throughout the nation.
Bennett came to the organization in 2002 as an industrial engineer. She was promoted to Manager then Director of Manufacturing under the Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABVI), which is a mission brand empowered by Goodwill of the Finger Lakes.
“Joyel has a commitment to growing and developing our employees, and is also committed to her own personal learning demonstrated by her successful completion last year of a Master of Science degree in Strategic Leadership,” said Gidget Hopf President and CEO of Goodwill of the Finger Lakes in a prepared statement.
Bennett, a resident of Penfield, NY, completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering in 1998 from Rochester Institute of Technology. In 2008, she completed Goodwill Industries International Senior Leadership Development Training. Then, in April of 2013, she completed a Master of Science degree in Strategic Leadership from Roberts Wesleyan College.
