Goodwill of the Finger Lakes is opening the doors of its newest location, and first-ever store in Onondaga County tomorrow, Saturday, September 24 at 9:00 AM.
What we're doing:
Goodwill of the Finger Lakes is celebrating the expansion of its retail store operations with the grand opening of its brand new store in Syracuse, the first of its kind in Onondaga County.
Where and when we're doing it:
Our Goodwill store in Syracuse is located at 4722 Onondaga Blvd. in the Wegmans Plaza.
At 8:45 AM we're holding a ribbon cutting ceremony that will include a few brief remarks from our President and CEO A. Gidget Hopf, Ed.D and a County/City proclamation of Sept. 24 as Goodwill Day.
Why we're doing it:
The opening of the new Goodwill store will have an immediate positive impact on Syracuse and the Onondaga County area. The local economy will be boosted through Goodwill’s creation of nearly 30 full and part-time employment opportunities for local residents, including many who are experiencing barriers to independence. The positive impact of the store’s opening will also be reflected in the dollars saved by local shoppers throughout Syracuse and the surrounding communities because Goodwill offers gently used and new items at up to 80 percent off mall store prices.
