Goodwill of the Finger Lakes Opens Thrift Store in Canandaigua
Newest Goodwill store is located in former Bed, Bath and Beyond retail space
We opened our 11th thrift store in the Finger Lakes region, this time in Canandaigua, New York. The new location is at 328 Eastern Blvd. in the former Bed, Bath and Beyond retail space. This is the first Goodwill store in Canandaigua and second location in Ontario County. Store hours are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sundays.
“We could not be more pleased to truly be part of [the Canandaigua] community,” says our CEO and President Jen Lake. “It’s been a long time coming. We are already a part of the community by providing a lot of services to people through our vision programs, as well as 211/LIFE LINE, so to finally have a physical footprint here is incredibly exciting.”
This past Saturday marked the official grand-opening ceremony. Goodwill leadership, staff, community officials and local dignitaries celebrated the grand opening and welcomed shoppers to peruse the store’s assortment of quality apparel and household donations, seasonal merchandise, and new goods.

Fogg, MPA, president of the Ontario County Chamber of Commerce. “In addition to their beloved retail brand, Goodwill’s work with people overcoming barriers to employment offers immediate and long-term benefits to businesses and individuals in the Ontario County marketplace.”
Like all Goodwill stores, all purchases benefit our many community-based services and social enterprise programs that address critical needs within the region, including Goodwill Vision Enterprises, 211/LIFE LINE and the Good Neighbor Program.
