While much seems new with a name change, so many
things have remained the same, including our
commitment to serving individuals who are blind and
visually impaired. The graphic depiction of our mission
statement in braille is a reminder of our rich history in
the greater Rochester area, empowering individuals
who are blind or visually impaired since 1911.

In changing the name of one of our Affiliated Entities,
from ABVI to Goodwill Vision Enterprises (GVE) we
continue delivering services to individuals who are
blind, while also extending services to all individuals
experiencing vision loss. GVE better describes our
organization as both a service provider and business
enterprise that continues the rich tradition of
serving, employing, and creating independence. We
are excited for the opportunities that lie ahead!
